- Proficiency in English and another target language.
- Working with children;
- Identifying and responding to hazardous situations;
- Applying school disciplinary procedures;
- Maintaining safe environment for children;
- Knowing school rules, policies and disciplinary steps;
- Applying standard safety procedures;
- Using computer software related programs;
- Engaging and encouraging communication skills while interacting with supervisors, staff, students, etc. to exchange information.

Lead Transportation Specialist
|FLSA STATUS: |
|The WESD Transportation department is an integral part of the education of all students within our school district, as the school bus is an extension of the classroom. |
|Maintains order on the bus according to state law and District policy by monitoring student behavior.||Daily |
|Assist in the cleaning the bus including floors, seats, windows, exterior, and disposing of trash.||Daily |
|Keeps records of all warnings and prepares behavior incident documentation when appropriate. Attends conferences with principals and parents when behavior becomes an on-going problem.||Daily |
|Acts as a liaison between staff, student and parents by promoting positive relations between the school, students and parents.||Daily |
|Performs other duties as required.||As |
