    The Nutrition Services Department for the Washington Elementary School District is comprised of approximately 180 employees preparing breakfast, lunch and after-school snacks at 32 sites. The Nutrition Services staff believes that together we can make a healthy difference in the lives of the students in the Washington Elementary School District and work each day of enable children to reach their educational and physical potential.

    Nutrition Services staff are eligible for free uniforms and free meals.

    NUTRITION SERVICES CLERK

    CLASS SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, incumbent(s) handles point of sales, including operating Point of Sales terminal, collecting cash for meals and snack items, and distributing remaining cash back to buyer. Incumbent(s) reviews and approves family meal applications based on guidelines determined by the USDA and prepares daily bank deposit slips. In addition, incumbent(s) assists with the food preparation and assists with the preparation and cleaning of the kitchen.

Incumbents must be proficient in all essential duties. Work assignment will be determined by the Manger/Supervisor, designated by District need.
